US ELECTIONS: Impacts on Africa ?

We understand that a brighter future of Africa should compel the implication of all its daughters and sons, particularly those of the Diaspora. It is therefore important for Africans and African-Americans to ensure that (during the US presidential election) the African question get inserted in the candidates agenda .We urge all Net surfers to record the candidates proposals on matter of vital interests for Africa and Africans. We also advise to flood the candidates campaign staffers with questions having some relevance for Africa.

IMF & BM: Drugs for poor?

The prophetic criticism of Tchundjang Pouémi in his best seller book: Currency, constraint and freedom, and that of an insider like Stiligz call us to challenge the rationale behind the remedies proposed by the international organizations knowing the reality of the African economies. The experts of these organizations are very often nationals from rich countries, eager to conquer some new markets or to take advantage of the situation to increase their sources of revenues. African experts (in and out Africa) must propose some alternative solutions that best preserve our common interest.

Skewed Elections: The continent political Ebola?

40 years after the independence of most African countries, we are still living as we used to do during the colonial era. An epoch marked by brutal relationships, authoritative governments and statesmen “known” as providential. This situation leads the society to inertia and to the perpetuation at all costs and by all means of the status quo. This explains why we call for a new paradigm. One where intelligence is the basis of the human capital, creativity is used to generate wealth and equitably divide the fruits of the prosperity, with an active participation of every citizen in policies setting, choice of the leaders and sanction by vote of the inefficient and ineffective leaders. The elections will no longer be skewed when our policymakers will begin to understand the values of some principles like legitimacy and accountability.

AIDS: African APOCALYPSE?

More than ever the urgency imposes to us a real awakening of the medical, human and economic risks of the pandemic. A true effort of education, information and awareness must lead to the emergence of new behaviors: self-awareness, consciousness of risks, and continuous monitoring of the serologic state. We must render the prevention and testing banal .We should especially call for an increase in fidelity between partners. Let’s adopt a responsible, serious, and faithful attitude. Be in favor of protected “adults activities”.

African Diaspora: beyond assimilation and rhetoric!

In the global village and in the virtual era, it is no longer compulsory to work neither in a fixed office nor in a single place. The network approach is suitable to energize the African Diaspora which like the Chinese or Indian Diaspora, should turn out to be a vector of progress, and a spreading- agent of Knowledge and technology. We owe it to our continent.

May each of us bring a precious stone representing our contribution in the construction of THE new AFRICA.

(More to come …………)
