What is LAKOLA?
LAKOLA was officially established on December 10, 2003. It is a Think
Tank, and an engaged brainstorming center open to all people including
those co-opted by our members, and all others who spontaneously and voluntarily
have registered themselves and decided to join.
Our exchanges follow a three- step process: "Debate-Synthesis-Action"
in English and/or French. Furthermore, they are centered on political,
economical, and legal subjects of significance for the advancement of
Africa and Africans.
Who are we?
LAKOLA pioneers are African descendants originating from Cameroon, who
virtually met by chance in a different Internet site (Cameroon-Info).
They have since formed a positive connection of five singular lives in
4 different geographic points of the world (Germany, USA, Belgium and
France). They are very determined individuals who strongly believe that
Africa and Africans could benefit from proposals and actions resulting
from the exchanges between the Diaspora and the sisters and brothers who
remained on the continent.
LAKOLA members are ambitious and caring professionals who live in various
parts of the world and share:
(1) a common principle: the continuous quest of Excellency
(2) a common goal: pushing Africa and Africans forward
(3) a common dream: the African renaissance
Who pays for Lakola ?
Our operating expenses are relatively low and "exclusively paid"
by the team of Lakola Administrators and Moderators. Moreover, this team
is only made up of motivated volunteers.
To preserve our political, financial and moral independence, Lakola does
not accept any external contribution for the payment of the "Think
Tank" overhead expenses.
Nevertheless, if necessary you will be able to support "our actions"
with a contribution, according to a process that will be defined and agreed
by all members involved in the relevant debate.
